Window replacement is one of the first things which come to mind when there is talk of air leaks in a building. Yet there are far less costly options available for most Chicago homes and apartments. In this workshop we will review the anatomy of different types of windows and the challenges that each poses. Practical restoration demonstrations will follow and attendees will have a chance to participate in supervised hands-on application of their learned techniques. We welcome homeowners, building owners, tenants, as well as trades people looking to improve the comfort and energy savings of their buildings. There will be no specialized tools, or skills required.
