Building Performance
The contribution of buildings to green house gases is explored emphasizing existing housing stock. We are engaged in continuing workshops on weatherization, and the related subjects of energy retrofits, air sealing, insulation, windows and air quality. Best practices are explored including hands-on demonstrations. Surveys include incentives, rebates, subsidized programs and financing to jumpstart any project, as well as sorting through the abundance of technical material.
Water Management
Conservation, rainbarrels, raingardens, bioswales and green roofs all contribute to saving our most precious resource. This can be done in ways that also introduce visually pleasing relief in our urban landscape.
Transportation
We are producing a documentary on proposed elevated train station closings in Chicago with attention to possible negative impact on the community.
